Dayday's Prayer

Dear Lord,

Thank you that my cancer is not all bad news — it is breast cancer, not lung cancer, with a better prognosis and many treatment options. Thank you for gracing with me with a strong body, mind and spirit that can fight this cancer. Thank you, most of all, for the support and prayers of family, friends, and even acquaintances — for these are keeping me well.

Thank you, for I know you are near. Please keep me walking in your light.

Please bless everyone around me — Choloy, Matteo, and Pio, our whole big family, our friends, my doctors and medical staff. Please continue to coat us with your love and mercy, that we may know your power and make the most of this experience. To serve you better. To have meaningful lives. To live in faith.

You are a great and mighty King. I trust in you, and have no fear. I sing of the joy which Your love gives to me, and I draw deeply from the springs of Your great kindness.
