He proved it by winning the World Championships, the Tour Du Pont, and multiple Tour de France stages. Lance Armstrong seemed invincible and the future ahead was bright indeed. Then they told him he had cancer. In 1996, Lance was diagnosed with an aggressive form of testicular cancer. He underwent two surgeries, one to remove his cancerous testicle and another to remove two cancerous lesions on his brain. He didn't only recover from his cancer.
