About Us

I've always wanted to give something back to society. On a daily basis, in small ways, we try to. In the back of our minds, we keep on saying "Someday, I'd like to do something more." But we get too preoccupied with work, with family, and the rest of our lives.

And then one day last June 2004, I found out that a friend has breast cancer. So this idea came to mind and is what we Filipinos call bayanihan.

It started our with helping Carla and Jenelyn. Now it's time for us to help Winkie. As we move forward, in our own little way, we try to help another individual with her battle for survival. And hopefully, in our own little way, we can continue to help others for as long as God allows us.

This site is owned and operated by HOSTMANILA. It is a non-profit venture and there are no "overhead" expenses that are taken away from donations received. Whatever is raised via this site goes to the beneficiaries. We'd like to keep this small and simple. Together with those who are willing to help out, it's just our own little way of giving back.
